Partial Care Program
Our Mission:
Capitol Care is committed to safely
providing positive and supportive quality care promoting individual
recovery and community wellness.
Introduction:
Capitol Care has been a pioneer in helping individuals
achieve wellness through the supports of quality staff and the development
of interpersonal supports since 1998. Through its evolution, Capitol
Care has worked to develop its comprehensive recovery program based
upon the beliefs that informed choice, personal empowerment, advocacy
of the inclusionary rights of all people and responsible and flexible
supports are essential when working with a person with a psychiatric
disability. Therefore, the program utilizes a bio-psych-social paradigm
emphasizing the strengths of each individual and enhancing his/her
sense of personal development to achieve the highest degree of ability
possible. Capitol Care has a vested interest in providing its services
to a wide range of adult clientele (18 or over) including those who
have been resistant to previous services, have chronic mental health
hospitalizations or have had difficulty with substance misuse. Capitol
Care provides the structure and intensity found in inpatient psychiatric
programs but meets the needs of those who do not require 24 hour
inpatient care.
Capitol Care also values the importance of the interconnectedness
between an individual and his/her community and thereby assists the
individual in identifying and utilizing natural supports systems
and community resources outside of Capitol Care to enhance overall wellness.
The Treatment Program:
To achieve our mission, Capitol Care offers
a full range of services to meet the distinct and complex needs of
our clients. These services include the provision of services through
the case management of each client, recreational activities, prevocational
management, clinically intensive group processes and psychiatric
monitoring and care. Through the procurement of such services, the
Capitol Care client is provided a structured, clinically intensive,
person centered treatment milieu. Capitol understands that its clients
have obligations outside of program and therefore offers its services
on a Monday through Friday schedule full time (9-3) and part time
(8-12:10). Capitol Care is also able to provide transportation services
to those in the Morris, Sussex, and Warren counties of Northern NJ.
The Capitol Care client develops an individualized recovery plan
through working with a comprehensive treatment team including an
intake coordinator, program director, team of professional case managers
at the Bachelors and Master’s level, a Board-Certified Psychiatrist, as well as a professionally
trained team of group facilitators to address everyday clinical, inter and
intrapersonal psychiatric and behavioral issues. Client’s length of
stay at the program vary depending on the client’s needs but would
not span over two years total.
Admissions:
Referrals to Capitol Care are commonly made by inpatient treatment providers upon client discharge, outpatient doctors or therapists, and/or community referrals such as friends/family or service providers of prospective clients. To initiate the referral process, you can click on the referral for services prompt and complete the application or contact the intake coordinator directly Mon-Fri 8am-4pm at the above number.
